Board games
Replace lost dice or roll for everyone on a shared screen.
Roll the dice and get your result. Every face has the same chance. Your browser's secure random tool decides the roll first, and then the dice move on screen.
Use it for board games, math class, quick choices or when the real dice have gone missing.
Roll two six-sided dice and add them. Some totals can be made in more ways than others, so they are not equally likely.
| Total | Ways to make it | Chance |
|---|---|---|
| 2 | 1 | 2.8% |
| 3 | 2 | 5.6% |
| 4 | 3 | 8.3% |
| 5 | 4 | 11.1% |
| 6 | 5 | 13.9% |
| 7 | 6 | 16.7% |
| 8 | 5 | 13.9% |
| 9 | 4 | 11.1% |
| 10 | 3 | 8.3% |
| 11 | 2 | 5.6% |
| 12 | 1 | 2.8% |
Seven is the most common total, with six ways out of 36. That is why seven matters in many board games. A double happens 1 time in 6.
One die gives 1 to 6 with equal odds, 16.7% each. For a quick one-die pick, use 1 to 6. For modifiers, advantage and a roll typed as notation, like 2d6+3, use the DnD dice roller.
Not every game uses a six-sided die. Choose the type of die before you roll: d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 or d100. Roll a d10 for a school game, a d12 for a puzzle or a d100 for percentages.

Roll 30 times, tally the totals and compare with the table above.
The high roll goes first.
Let the dice decide what happens next. 1-2 is trouble, 3-4 is nothing, 5-6 is luck.
Count dots, add two numbers and compare totals.
Yes. Each face has exactly the same chance. Real dice can be slightly uneven, especially cheap ones. Each roll is independent, so a six does not make the next six less likely. You can read more on how it works.
It picks a number for each die with your browser's secure random generator and shows the result.
Seven, at about 16.7%.
Yes. Choose 1 to 6 dice before you press roll. The total of all the dice is shown.
Yes, from a list: d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 and d100. You cannot type your own number of sides here. The DnD dice roller accepts any die from 2 to 1000 sides when you type it as a roll, like 1d30.
No. It is free and works in your browser.
