d20 roll

Dice, plus or minus dice or numbers. Up to 100 dice, 2 to 1000 sides.

DnD Dice Roller

Roll any die from a d4 to a d20, or a d100, without owning a set. This DnD dice roller picks each result with your browser's secure random tool, so every face has the same chance.

Use it for a tabletop session, a quick solo check, or as a spare when someone forgot the dice bag.

How to Use the D&D Dice Roller

  1. Pick the die. Choose how many dice and which type.
  2. Roll. The result shows straight away.
  3. Add your modifier. Type a number from -10000 to 10000 in the modifier field, or type a whole roll such as 2d6+3 in the notation box.
  4. Roll again for the next check.

D20 Dice Roller: Advantage and Disadvantage

In 5th edition, with advantage you roll two d20s and keep the higher one. With disadvantage you keep the lower one. This changes the odds a lot.

RollChance of a natural 20Average result
One d205%10.5
With advantage9.75%about 13.8
With disadvantage0.25%about 7.2

Advantage almost doubles your chance of a natural 20. Rolling 15 or higher on one d20 is 30%. With advantage, it is 51%.

Dice Roller 5e: Common Rolls

  • Attack roll: d20 plus modifiers, against the target's armor class.
  • Saving throw: d20 plus modifier, against a difficulty number.
  • Ability or skill check: d20 plus modifier, against a difficulty number.
  • Damage: the dice for the weapon or spell, such as 1d8 or 8d6.
  • Hit points at level up: the class hit die, such as a d8 or a d12.
  • Initiative: d20 plus your Dexterity modifier.

Online DnD Dice Roller: Is It Fair?

Yes. Each face has exactly the same chance. Your browser's secure random tool picks the roll first, and the display follows. Physical dice can be slightly uneven, especially cheap ones. A digital roll has no such flaw.

Some tables prefer physical dice because rolling is part of the fun. Use this as a backup, for online games or for quick solo play.

20 Sided Dice Roller for Other Games

A d20 works outside role-playing games too. Use it to pick a number from 1 to 20 for a class, a draw or a turn order. For a plain number pick, try the random number wheel or 1 to 6. For a quick decision, use the yes or no wheel.

D100 Dice Roller and Percentile Rolls

A d100 gives a number from 1 to 100, with a 1% chance for each. Use it for random event tables, like "on a roll of 1 to 10, something strange happens", and for percentage chances.
