Pick a Number 1-10
Pick a number 1-10 in one press. Each number has the same 10% chance. Your browser's secure random tool chooses the winner before the wheel starts to turn.
No favorites, no patterns, no "I was going to say 7 anyway".
How to Pick a Number 1-10
- Press spin on the random 1-10 number generator above.
- The number the wheel stops on is your pick. Both 1 and 10 are included.
- Spin again for a new number. Earlier results do not change the next one.
Why Do People Always Say 7?
Ask a group to pick a number 1-10 and 7 usually wins by a lot. People avoid the ends and avoid even numbers because they feel less random. It is a well known habit.
That is why you cannot trust a hand-picked number for a fair draw. A random 1-10 number generator has no habits.
Number Randomiser 1 10: The Odds
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| One given number on one pick | 10% |
| The same number twice in a row | 10% |
| A given number at least once in 10 picks | about 65% |
| At least one repeat within 5 picks | about 70% |
| Picks to see every number (average) | about 29 |
Five picks with no repeat is the unusual result, not the repeat. If your run keeps repeating, that is just chance.
Random Number Gen 1 10: Best Uses
Class turns. Number the students 1 to 10 and spin for who goes next.
Guessing games. Someone else spins the secret number. You play higher or lower. If you halve the range each time (5, then 2 or 8, and so on), you find it in 4 guesses or fewer.
Tiebreakers. Agree the rule first, then let the spin decide.
Quick choices. Ten options, ten numbers, one spin. For only two options, use the yes or no wheel.
Party games. Pick the round number or the order of play.
Need a different range? Try 1 to 100, 1 to 6 or 1 to 4. Or set your own range on the random number wheel.
Randomize Numbers 1 10 With No Repeats
Spin with repeats if each pick is separate, like a die. If you want every number from 1 to 10 exactly once, as in a turn order, turn on elimination mode. Each winner is removed from the wheel. Ten picks without repeats is the same as a shuffled list of 1 to 10.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I choose a number between 1 to 10 and get 10?
Yes. The range includes both ends, so 10 is as likely as 4.
Is the random number gen 1 10 tool really random?
Yes. It uses your browser's secure random tool and a method that avoids tiny rounding bias, so each number has an exact 1 in 10 chance.
Is this a number generator or a wheel?
Both. It makes a random pick from 1 to 10 and shows it on a wheel, so everyone can see it happen.
Can I pick several numbers at once?
Spin once for each number you need. If they must all be different, turn on elimination mode first.
Is it free? Does it work on a phone?
Yes to both. It is free, with no account, and it fits phone screens.
