Before you start, check Instagram's current promotion rules and the laws where you live. Common points:
Say how winners are chosen, and when, in your post.
Follow the platform rules. Do not ask people to tag unrelated accounts or share to enter if the platform forbids it. Rules change, so read them before each giveaway.

One entry per person (best). Remove duplicates before the draw.
Extra chances for extra actions. If you offer these, add that person's name once for each chance and say so in the rules. The more times a name is in the list, the better their odds.
Mention-a-friend rules. Count a comment only if it meets the rule you published. Check by hand.

With N valid entrants, each has a 1 in N chance. That is 1% with 100 entrants and 0.1% with 1,000. For several prizes drawn without repeats, one person's chance is the number of prizes divided by N.
